MODERN GOTHIC CABINET OF EXTRAORDINARY QUALITY.  Circa 1885, all original, Aesthetic Movement, solid mahogany, curio, étagère, fresh from the home and personal collection of a well known antiques dealer, this exceptional example of 19th century craftsmanship has it all. Without a doubt produced by a top cabinet maker, easily attributed to Herter Bros. or their equal. Absolutely wonderful Modern Gothic details, ( note the Mythical figures cabinet supports) various raised and incised carvings, fine deep patinated brass edging and original cast brass hardware, all solid mahogany, inside and out and constructed top to bottom with "mortise and tenon" construction. Excellent, clean original finish, that I have re-polished, Tennessee  pink marble, working locks and keys, original solid mahogany selves and glass. Very minor "shrinkage" to some of the inset panels, and slight loss to the right side, top door molding. One of the finest pieces we have been lucky enough to purchase in both quality and condition.  67 1/2" tall x 52" wide x 15" deep.  Price $3,800.00
