RUSSIAN SAINT NICHOLAS

Circa 1880.  Unusual framed Russian Icon with original brass votive.  Beautiful gilt brass icon with a cut out of the face and hand backed by a print of  the Russian Saint Nicholas.  The Icon is set in a late Victorian frame and shadow box of walnut and gilt gesso and hand decorated with paper flowers under the glass.  0n the outside of the frame is a cast iron arm which supports a fancy cut brass votive.  We have taken it apart to clean the glass and it all appears to be all original.  Fine original condition.   14 1/4 "high x 14 1/2" wide x 3" deep.  Price $1700.
