FULL PLATE TINTYPE

Rare full plate tintype of a child in an original frame.  Circa 1860.   Large, hand colored tintype, amazingly in it's original deep walnut frame, complete with it's original elaborate mat, glass and wood back. The frame retains it's original finish, ebonized detail and fine gilded surround. The Full plate tintype photograph 8 1/2" x 6 1/2". The child is elaborately dressed and coifed and even sports a watch chain, which appears to have been painted on. Everything is in very good original condition with only a tiny fold in the lower right corner of the brown part of the mat which I chose not to play with although it appears to be present just folded back.
