HAND PAINTED RING HOLDER

Circa 1890.  Charming, hand painted ring holder. Here is another good example of what I believe is American Amateur decoration of a fine French porcelain blank, in the form of a small ruffle edged bowl with a free form tree at it's center with three small branches for rings. The painting inside the bowl is pretty pink flowers and green leaves on a shaded back round of pink, yellow and green. The "tree" is a very pale yellow with gilded tips and there is also gilding around the rim of the bowl. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate.  Fine original condition. Marked with a capital A for the artist on the base.  3 1/2" diameter x 3 1/4" tall.   Price  $85.00
