Circa 1870.  Magnificent Renaissance Revival rosewood bed.  American, attributed to the noted 19th century Brooklyn New York cabinet maker Thomas Brooks.  Fresh from the Brooklyn brownstone home of a local Doctor.  Top quality, beautifully figured, Brazilian rosewood on every surface.  The headboard features a detailed center crest and two large and important urn finials.  This bed will hold a Queen size mattress without any alterations and with the original rails.  The interior measurement is 59 1/2" wide x 80" long!  Fully restored to it's original beauty and sturdiness.  Very fine condition, a bed like this rarely comes on the market.  85” tall (headboard) 36" tall (footboard) x 69” wide.  Price $ 12,000.
