ANTIQUE Bronzes & Statuary

Circa 1880.  Exceptionally fine parian figure of a nude women.  Beautiful from every angle, tall, elegant sculpture of a young beauty wearing nothing but a draped cloth on her legs, is as nice a parian figure as I have ever seen.  Her head is bowed modestly and her arms are loosely crossed across her naked breasts.  She stands with one foot on a decorated foot stool. In her up swept hair is a leaf and an ornament, another jewel is strapped across her lovely forehead.  Unmarked, English, probably by one of the better Staffordshire makers of the Victorian era.  Fine original condition with no damage or repairs, only an air hole on her left arm.  14 " tall x 4 1/4" base diameter.  Price $850.
