ANTIQUE CHAIRS

Circa 1830-50.  Set of four, American Classical side/dining chairs in mahogany.  These chairs feature finely figured mahogany, vase-shaped back splats and gracefully curved and molded top rails.  The backs are subtly curved and end in simple back-turned legs.  The front seat rail is a simple curve, and the front legs are nicely turned and reeded.  The upholstered seats are wide and comfortable.  Sturdy restored condition with glued cracks in two top rails.  Beautifully re-polished.   Old upholstery, in need of replacement.  Four side chairs, 34" tall x 18 1/2" wide x 20" deep.  Seat height  17".  Price $1800.
