Circa 1865. Beautiful, American, Rococo rosewood side/hall chair. Elegant from every angle, carved by an extremely skilled hand, this wonderful 19th century antique chair features a heavy pierce carved floral crest and turned spindles flanking it's tall upholstered back. All solid rosewood, the chair seat has a finely carved and delicately shaped bottom rail and turned front legs ending in original brass and wood casters.  The rear legs flair backwards and also end in original casters. The whole chair has been professionally restored, re-upholstered in fine Italian fabric and completely re-polished.   45 1/2" tall x 19"widest (tapers back to 16")x 18 1/2" deep with a seat height of 16" .  Price $1200.
