Circa 1880. Rare "Dual purpose" Eastlake walnut commode with hidden fancy marble sink. Somebody thought of everything with this piece!  Slant front writing surface on what appears to be a typical commode of this period actually conceals a fancy marble sink with sea shell spigot. The wood back splash is hinged to cover a tin lined water reservoir.  Two small drawers with original brass hardware flank the sink.  The base is a double door cabinet with original lock and  key.  Good old finish.  Good condition. 40” high x 30" wide x 21" deep  Price $2,500.
