Circa 1880. American Centennial mirrored chest in the Federal taste.  Exceptionally large and filled with quality carving and unusual details.  The chest is made of perfectly matched mahogany veneers and fine solid mahogany.  The front is slightly bowed, with a heavy rope carved edge and heavily carved columns ending in carved claw feet.   There are two small drawers over two large drawers. This fine chest retains all it's original,  Sandwich glass knobs set in brass in fine condition.  All the drawers and locks are in fine working condition.  This chest is part of an "assembled" set that we purchased together that includes the high chest (pictured in this section) and a four post bed which we will be adding.  Fine restored condition.  72" tall x 56" wide x 24" deep.  Price $4,500.
