Circa 1910.   The finest ladies dressing case we have ever seen. Also called a "Beau Brummell", signed in ivory "Maple & Co. Ltd" (well known London maker).  All original finish , crotch mahogany with pencil inlay. Folding beveled glass mirrors and beveled glass work surfaces. Brass hinges, catches and details. Interior of case has original velvet compartments and light green enamel paint where the dressing bottles rest. There are two spring-loaded mechanisms to reach the secret, velvet lined jewelry drawers. The various dresser bottles are cut crystal and hallmarked sterling silver. The manicure set and other assorted pieces are ivory. There are also two removable and adjustable lights that fit over the mirror and have the original silk and tatted lace shades. This piece  is signed by the maker and has registration numbers on it. There is really too much detail for us to include in this description, a true masterpiece, this piece of furniture should be experienced in person. Upper right hand side of the left side folding mirror has a crack.  35" inches wide, 23" inches deep and 38" inches tall (closed) 57"inches tall (open). Price $16,000.
