ANTIQUE Clocks

Circa 1885. Very unusual, all original Gilbert clock in porcelain.  Over the top, American Aesthetic Movement, labeled "DORA", this fine mantel clock features an asymmetrical Egyptian motif .  On the right side of the clock there is n Egyptian woman holding out a bell-shaped flower. This floral design repeats on the rest of the front and sides  and in the center is a Pharaoh's head with a  vaguely smiling expression.   The whole clock is a soft yellow and the decorations are a coppery brown and teal.  The faces is a detailed pressed brass.  Very fine original condition.  12" tall x 12" wide x 5" deep.  Price $1,100.
