ANTIQUE China, Crystal &Glass

Late 19th Century.  Very fine Limoge porcelain portrait plate.  This plate depicts a graceful young beauty as seen from behind with her face in silhouette.  She is set among equally graceful white blossoms and wears a soft white draped dress with a dark red strap. Her hair is coiled and braided and is a dark brunette. The Haviland and Company blank that she is painted on has a soft scalloped edge and raised floral detail.  The outer edge is softly gilded.  Hand painted and artist signed "Murchand".  Very good original condition with wear to the gilded edge.  Marked "Imperial  H&Co." Limoge France.  Price  $200.
