Circa 1870.  Large French wrought iron chandelier.  Eight elegant arms in the best tradition of hand-wrought 19th century lighting.  Oversized but not heavy, each graceful arm has leaves and curlicues radiating from a two part round center.  Both the top and bottom of the round central body also feature a cluster of leaves and flowers.  Very good original condition, original chain and canopy, old black paint finish, that is well worn in a "shabby chic" traditional manner.  Originally candle, this chandelier has been freshly wired for electricity.  40" long x 36" diameter.  Price $2,800.
