Circa 1850.   Rare and beautiful Rococo chandelier attributed to Cornelius. Typical of the extra fine work of this very highly regarded Philadelphia maker, ornate and yet light and elegant, all original finish gilt brass, with grapes and leaves winding around the entire fixture and four chains of leaves and grapes draped between the arms.  This wonderful light also features four clear shades that are etched with wreathes and bows and have a scalloped top. These shades are Period Victorian and came with this light. Professionally converted and re-wired for safety. Fine over-all condition, with virtually no wear to the Dore finish.  38 " long x  35" diameter. Can be  lengthened.  Price $ 12,500.
