Circa 1875-85.  Fabulous American Aesthetic Movement slate mantel.  Rarely seen or available, multi colored, sea foam green, dark green, soft black and gray, deeply engraved and gilded slate enhance this boldly designed chimney piece. In fine condition, with only minor roughness to some edges,  the white in the photos is just the plaster used to "mock up" the mantel so that it could be displayed and photographed.      45" tall x 13 3/4" deep x 62 1/2" wide.  Price $5400  with fancy cast insert.
