ANTIQUE PAINTINGS & prints

Circa 1850.  Lovely oil portrait of a young woman.  Primly dressed, wearing modest jewelry and sporting a flower in her hair. Very well executed probably by a an itinerant portrait artist as was common in  the 19th century.  Unsigned, found with a letter taped to the back with information on the subjects New England based family dating back to the 18th century.  Simple pine frame with worn gold paint.  Very good condition with no holes, repairs or in- painting.   20" wide x 23" high framed.   Price $950.00.
