Mid 19th century, oil on canvas portrait of a middle-aged gentleman, most probably a lawyer or a judge. In the back-round to the left of the sitter is a statue of blind justice.  Very well painted with wonderfully life like skin tone and facial expression. Some old in-painting on the man's jacket. Original gilt frame in good condition.   The size, including the frame is  33"wide X 37"tall.   Painting alone is 24 1/2" x 29 1/2".   Price $3,400.
