Circa 1890.  Unusual Victorian chromo lithograph of a 19th century women in fencing attire.  Provocative for it's time, this bold print features an attractive young women reclining on a tufted divan holding an epee.  Both legs are showing to the knee as she stares straight ahead at the artist.  There is much attention to detail including a luxurious pillow on the other end of the sofa and a bright green carpet. Her fencing costume has a large red heart over one breast.  Original oak frame and glass in good condition with only miner losses to the molded edge.  Unsigned. The large white circles and streaks are reflections of our lighting.  Fine original condition.   19 1/2 "high x 23 1/2" wide.  Price $500.
