ANTIQUE Side-BOARDS / servers

Circa 1830.  English, William IV  mahogany sideboard of exceptional quality, condition and size. Double pedestal base consisting of two long door cabinets with one interior original shelf on each side.  The open center has a mirrored back and one fixed shelf across the center. The entire base is trimmed in a boldly carved molding over graceful, Regency style feet. The key holes for the doors are inset brass on the interior side of each cabinet.  Above each door and along the front is a simple flat panel with a handsome ebonized trim.  The top of the sideboard consists of raised pediments on each side above the doors with carved panels in a swag design.  The mirrored back is in three sections with two small flanking mirrors above thin drawers and carved side pieces.  The center section is a larger rectangular mirror.  All three mirrors are trimmed in brass.  The top and bottom sections are separated by black marble with heavy white veining.  Everything on this piece appears original.  Some old restorations and French polishing.  It is missing the locks in both doors.  87" wide x 22" deep x 59 1/2" tall.  Price $7,800.
