ANTIQUE SILVER & SILVER PLATE

Circa 1875.  Signed Wm Rodgers, large dome topped silver plate butter dish.  Beautiful Repose Rococo motifs on both the feet, knife holder and outer edge, grace this fine piece of Victorian table ware. The tall domed cover is finely fluted, graduating into a button shaped finial.  Fine original glass insert in cut and frosted glass. I have added a vintage, silver plate butter knife that fits well.  Very fine condition with no dents to the metal or plate loss, and only one small rim chip to the glass insert.  Marked "quadruple plate".   7 3/4" diameter x 6 1/2" tall.  71/2" butter knife.    Price $175.
