ANTIQUE SOFAS

Circa 1835.  19th Century,  Period American Empire/Classical daybed.  Sleigh style in form, with elegant curved ends featuring highly figured, matched crotch mahogany veneers on both the interior and exterior of  the "S" curve and slightly curved side rails.  Superbly carved end supports, legs and ball and claw feet.   Completely free standing,  long enough to use as a bed. The upholstered insert was custom made about ten years ago and is in excellent condition but needs recovering.  Restored and French polished original finish.  88" long x 31 1/2" wide x 31" tall.  Mattress alone is 75 1/2" long x 27" wide.  Price $5,900.
