ANTIQUE China, Crystal &Glass

Circa 1885.  Tall elegant Aesthetic Movement hand painted vase. This large vase is dramatically painted in large yellow flowers and deep green leaves by a very skilled hand. The vase is tall with a bulbous lower body and a tall slender cylinder neck. The body is an ivory color with lots of brushed gold detail. There is all-over crazing in the glaze which I believe was intentional as it looks wonderful and gives the vase an antique Asian feel which was very popular in the last quarter of the 19th century both in the US and England. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate.  Fine original condition. Unmarked except for the artist's initials, MAB on the base.  14" tall x 8" widest.   Price  $195.
