Circa 1890.  Very nice pair of pedestal cake stands. These two stands are decorated with pink roses and lilies on an antique white back round. There are also green leaves and stems along with flowers on both the top and base. There is decorative gold detail around the top and bottom rim and a band of raised gold dots on the narrow part of the pedestal. Un-marked. One stand is in good original condition, with normal wear (faint scratches, wear to the gilding) unfortunately the second pedestal has a single crack that runs half the diameter. It is usable and since it is rare to find a pair, I am pricing theses pieces as if it were just one pedestal and including the second to preserve the pair, which could be professionally restored. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 9" diameter x 3 1/8" tall.  Price  $175 for the pair. One "as is".
