Circa 1885.  Pair of unusual Aesthetic Movement, flow blue plates.  Unmarked, very handsome plates with a dark blue outer edge that gradually shades to a lighter blue in the undecorated center, with raised detail around the edge that has been heavily decorated in a deep coppery gold.  Good original condition, with some discoloration and crazing to the glaze in the center section.  Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 8 1/2" wide x 9" tall.  Price  $150 for the pair.
