ANTIQUE PORCELAIN & CERAMICS
Circa 1870. Unusual porcelain sauce server or creamer and under plate. This piece of charming Mid-Victorian porcelain is the size and shape of a fine tea cup and saucer and at first glance that is what it appears to be. On closer inspection the spout becomes obvious and you can see it was meant to serve cream or sauce. It is made of delicate white porcelain decorated with transfer ware flowers and a gilded fan motif that also has unusual plum colored accents. Un-marked, fresh from a local Brooklyn, NY estate. Good condition with wear to some of the decoration and a tiny chip to the bottom edge of the cup. Cup is 6" wide x 2" tall, under-plate is 6 1/2" diameter. Price $85.00
