Circa 1868-81. Set of five Limoges bowls. This charming and unusual set of French porcelain bowls consists of five different hand painted winter scenes. Each very well painted scene is on a medium sized bowl with an open work handle. The back round is fresh white porcelain with lots of gold accents which works very well with the winter scenes depicting trees, mountains, houses, bridges, fences and people. Each bowl is marked C F H which is the Limoges porcelain mark #2 for Charles Field Havilland. This is one of this fine firms earliest marks. Excellent original condition with no signs of any use. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 5 1/2" wide x 5" deep x 1 1/4" tall. Price $300.00 for the set of five.
