ANTIQUE Lighting & sconces

Circa 1880.   Large signed "Bradley & Hubbard" reverse painted lamp. Wonderfully decorated with large peony flowers on both the shade and base, this original Victorian oil lamp has now been electrified and has an illuminated glass bottom half and fancy cast open- work, metal base. Fresh from a Brooklyn, New York home and newly re-wired, this strikingly beautiful table lamp is signed by the renown Meriden, Connecticut maker, Bradley & Hubbard, famous for metal objects and especially lamps. Good original condition with no chips cracks or repairs, with some distortion to the painting on the lower bottom glass section of the light and some yellowing on the rim of the top shade probably from years of heat. Over-all this lamp displays beautifully, it's condition that of a fine usable antique in untouched  (except for electrification) condition.  There is no photograph of the signature because of where it is located on the base, we guarantee it is there.  28 " tall x  16"  shade diameter x 10" base diameter..   Price $ 1500.
